Thanks,

i have gotton past that now but am expieriencing problems pinging my clan. I have the ip address but it will not ping. I have checked all my connections and they are fine..

Sorry to be a pain, but my colleage was fired and now all his work has been passed to me (i dont know much about call pilot)

Cheers..

Are you talking about desktop messaging for CallPilot? If so the VPIM is programed in the CallPilot. It is usually set as 1NPANXX. it will use the fully qualified domain name you have programed in CallPilot. An example of FQDN is ' 18136367500@yourdomainname.com '. the VPIM in this example is 1813636. When installing desktop messging a few prompts must be programed in CallPilot and it can become a challenge. Let us know if this is what you are trying to do.

Pinging the CLAN gateway from CallPilot is easy as long as you have an IP addres programed on the CLAN NIC card in CallPilot.

since your connections and ip addresses are fine, look for firewalls, vlan's on your network.
