SMTP Problem

My smtp Protocal stops by itself when i restart it, it will knock out my Micorsoft Exchange IMAP4, POP3, & routing engine.

Any one have any ideas? HELP NO E-Mail Service

What error messages do you see in Event logs? Did you install any software/hardware lately on your server?

have you tried uninstalling IIS ? assuming of course that you only use the IIS for exchange at this point.

We use it for exchange and for our website as well

I have never done that but I was told it you reinstall IIS on your Exchange server you have to reinstall Exchange as well, because Exchange relies on IIS so deeply that reinstalling IIS crashes Exchange. So you might want to backup everything before uninstall IIS...

Have you checked the SMTP queues to see if there may are any malformed emails there? There could be a corrupted message there causing the issue.
