FYI,

As of May 30, 2022 anyone who set up a gmail account to forward emails from IPO will be unable due to them discontinuing access from third party apps without two factor auth.

You will see in monitor:

SMTP error: "-5.7.8 Username and Password not accepted. Learn more at
535 5.7.8 f22-20020ac87f16000000b00304ec60f711sm4468708qtk.39 - gsmtp
", or something similar.

I have used this option for years and have never had an issue, but apparently it's deemed a hacking risk now.

Hope this helps.

Teletechman,

Lan1 was only used for voices and LAN2 was used to access customer 's ip network.

If I changed both ip and subnet mask to 0.0.0.0 in ip route, does it search smtp.gmail.com in all ip addresses?

yes it is a default route all IP addresses are now open to searching by doing this as long as you have a working DNS entry. Make sure you use the LAN2 gateway.
Mike

make sure if you do that though, you have a proper route in for any voice traffic that is needed for LAN1 to route to LAN1.
