SMTP Authentication

i wanted to force all my users using smtp authentication.
is there any way to implement SMTP authentication with sendmail.

i have gone through the document. as i am a gibbinner in linux , i didn't understand. sorry to bother you.i will be greatful to you if you can explain what to do after a normal instalation.

Are you using .RPM linux or .SRC linux?
