SMS2003 Client install

Im running sms2003 on Win NT Server: I installed sms2003 and started the cleint installed but all the clients at all the sites keep pulling Data from The main server NOT there local SMS Server.I set site boundaries correctly and the Client access share is visble at all the site. What can I do so that the client pull locally....Not over the WAN

ON the local BDC do I need to add wins or anything to make it work..

PS and Only some client will install not all any ideas

pre reqs for sms 2003 (server) are at least windows 2000 server and at the least sql 7

I could be misunderstanding that you are trying to install a client on a nt server?
