SMS Service account lock outs

I've just changed the SMS Service account and password using the SMS Setup wizard from the CD and adjusted all my sites to this account, and I'm now continually getting the Service account locking out. SMSCliToknAcct& is also locking out. Does anyone know how to stop this?
 
Thanks for that, however the client account is fine, its the big boy, the SMSService account thats continually locking out. I've been through all the logs and it doesn't say whats causing the lockout. Would another Site Reset do the job?

have you ever found a solution to this? I seem to be having a similar problem and don't know what to do.

A while ago an account policy was enabled which causes passwords to expire. Now the SMSService account is coninually locked out. Every time I unlock it, it goes back to locked state within a few minutes.

I can't go back to the old password because it doesn't comply with the new complexity rules.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This was a while ago now, but to stop the service account locking out, I created another service account (eg. SVC_SMSService) put it in the domain admins group, gave it a password, and did a site reset with this new password. I also changed all site senders and software dist. accounts to this new account. If you still keep getting lockouts on this new account, trawl through all your security logs on 644 which is the ID for lockouts and find which machine its locking out on.

As for SMSClitoknacct& locking out, once it starts you can't stop and this is only fixed on SP5 which uses a different account method for passing client token permissions around to distribute software. has a .vbs script which checks every 15mins and unlocks it if you do a search for it. Post again with your email address if you can't find it.

I am having a similar problem. The SMSService account gets locked up at least once a week. I thought it might have happened when I added a new child site, so I went to each of the LAN Sender addresses and re-entered the passwords, but that doesn't seem to have cleared up my problem.

I have used Event Viewer to determine that the account is only being locked out on the Site Server for my Primary Site. I have re-entered the passwords for the LAN Addresses, and the Site System account, but I'm still SMSService is still getting locked out at least once a week.

I never really found a solution to my problem so I created a new smsservice account by re-installing SMS and changed all settings to the new account
