SMS - OR not sms..that is the question

Have finally got the option to bin SMS, does anyone know of any less annoying products, that provides the same kind of functionality.. or am i best sticking with it...

It all depends on the functionality you want. If you want all of the features of SMS, Landesk is probably the best choice.

However, SMS is a great product, it just takes a knowledgable person to run it. In my experience, usually the administrators who say "SMS sucks" do not really understand how to support and administer the product. You may want to consider highering an experienced SMS admin to help out. This might be cheaper and less problematic then buying a new product..

I have to agree. When I took over managing our SMS environment, it was a mess and other admins constantly complained about it. Over the last 2 years, I have streamlined it into a very usable system and people love it. We recently started running SUS, and management is ecstatic with the reporting and the capabilities. Give it some thought before you chuck it. Post some of the problems you have had, maybe some of us can help.
