Hi all. I'm trying to find an implementation plan 'template' for SMS. We're planning to deploy SMS to about 300 pc's over multiple physical locations. We are going to first deploy to a lab environment, then the full complement of PC's. We need an implementation plan which will detail all of these steps for deployment. Thanks, all!

We too are getting ready to deploy SMS (1000 PCs) and a "template", as you put it, would be great! I've been reading for hours and I don't feel anymore comfortable about getting it up and running anytime soon than I did before I started reading. =( Anyone?

Thanks,

Jay

What's up Joel and another guy!

I attended the SMS 2003 rollout presentation and viewed
the webcast for SMS implementation.

We've partially rolled it out at my present location and
ran a complete 3 tier solution with another employer.

SMS runs flawlessly when properly implemented. I'm now
using the advanced client which is the bigest change from
2.0 to 2003.

Here's a link you can read and also view the webcast which
adresses the microsofts best practices for SMS
implementation in your enterprise.

As for setting thigs up in a lab, that's the way to go
when platform and environment issues are a concern.
