SMS Console after Installing SMS SP2

Hi!

Thats maybe an easy question but I seem to be to stupid to solve the problem...

I installed SMS SP2 on the site server - now the SMS admin console also is SP2 - but only on the site server; on my client here I still have the SP1 admin console and I don't find the setup for the admin console SP2.
Or do I need to download it separately?

version on my client (help - about):
2.50.3174.1000

version on the sms-site-server:
2.50.4160.2000

you'll see it also in "discovery methods" - the "AD security group discovery" is only in the new-admin console visible...

I take it you mean the version of your SMS Client, not the Admin Console on a client, or are you talking about upgrading a remote admin console?

You need to run the SP2 upgrade on all machines with remote admin console

Ok - I though that I need a sperate exe to install the admin-console on my client...

now it works - thank you!

If you think about it. The admin console on the site server, is exactly the same as the remote admin console on a remote machine. The only difference is it HAPPENS to be on the same machine. From your Site server's admin console, you can also connect to any other Site Server Database and have complete control from there (permissions allowing)
