Has anyone sucessfully got SMS CLients working over VPN connections at all.

Our scenario is that we are about to start rolling out broadband to our home workers (although some will have to stay with 56K dial up) and we are aiming to try to manage the clients from our central site.

Does anyone have any experience of this, and know if there are any specific items that need setting on the client (windows XP) in order to make this possible.

cheers

I'm just starting to administer SMS 2003. The ip subnet that my users VPN onto is included in my network discovery range. I was connected to our network the other night through a cable modem VPN and noticed my screen blink (usually happens when the SMS client gets installed). My machine (WinXP) had been discovered and the advanced client was installed. I didn't do anything in advance on the client side. I'm not pushing any software yet so I don't know how well that will work yet.
