Good day all...
I have a pickle here.... I keep on getting the following error that has got me stumped... this is the follwoing client error I keep getting and I recieve about 145 of these:
Message ID: 10106 Message Type: Milestone
Severity: Error Module Name: SMS Client
Component: Client Component Installation Manager
TimeStamp: 11/01/2003 10:00:35 PM
Machine Name: [*computer name] Site Code: 141"
Message Text
SMS Client Component Installation Manager (CCIM) encountered an error while trying to send client component ""Hardware Inventory Agent","WIN NT (I386) Verify program name"", command "" to SMS Available Programs Manager (APM). Possible cause: Either APM is not running or the inter-process communication
(IPC) mechanism might not be working. Solution: If this computer is running the Windows NT, 95, or 98 operating system, repair the installation by using the Systems Management tool in Control Panel. Select the Components tab, highlight "SMS Client Base Components," and then click "Repair Installation.
I also get the same message but different Message ID 10105
The machines are all W2K and XP. Along with he errors above I get the Notorious 669 error (I get 12,000 of these) the "SMS components" fix did not work... that's when you click on the "Repair Inatallation". If you need more info post back... thanks for all the help you guys have given!!!!
