Hi all,
Our SMS-Server (2.0 SP4) must get a new IPaddress (10.1.2.x is our range for servers - the clients get 10.2.3.x).

Has anyone experienced any troubles when I afterwards change the site boundaries to match the new IPranges or is there something I must not forget to do ?

Thanks in advance,
Chris

We had horrendous problems, when we did this. The lessons we learn't were simple, but important.
1)If u r changing your entire Ip environment and have your clients running on DHCP. then do the following.

Add new boundaries to the sms server.
Shutdown all sms servers.
Make ip changes. (We even moved the dhcp server over to another server which further confused sms!)
Start up sms servers and disable old ip boundaries or even delete them.

SMS should now rediscover the clients ok

Rod and Richard,
thank you very much for your answers - I will keep these things in mind ;)
