SMS 2k3 - 2ndard Site - "Unknown" site name

Can someone please tell me where I should be looking for clues that'll give me some indication why, under a Child-Primary Site --> Site Settings --> Addresses, my secondary site object Standard Sender Address is showing as (Unknown)?

I'm sure there is a reason for it....but its not uncommon and as long as it works, I never have worried about it.

Is it communicating??

look at the sched.log if thats is error free I wouldnt worry about it.

I'm just not seeing the object in the parent to be able to enable the 2ndary site as a DP and MP. There appears to be communication between the 2ndary and the parent. I don't see errors either. I've added the system name into the perms on the System Management OU with full control rights and the parent system name is in the local admins group on the 2ndary.

We've a separate parent to many other 2ndaries (different line of business) and not had any issues there. The one I'm working on now is the first 2ndary for the parent.

Have you tried reinstalling the Management Point on the secondary server?
