SMS 2003 is in release canidate 1 we are currently evaluating it. Rather funny, considering we have never played with any previous versions of SMS.

Anyways, we're having problems with the most basic of things. We are unable to "push" out the client. We were initially receiving an error of
"No MP shares" in the CCM.LOG file

We reinstalled SMS and now we're receiving the following error:
---> No network access account. Will not push the mobile client to $$$$$<SMS_CLIENT_CONFIG_MANAGER><Fri Aug 29 6:55:37.392 2003 Eastern Standard Time><thread=1980 (0x7BC)>

If anyone has some insight, it would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you didn't configure your Site System to be a Management Point - which it isn't by default. SMS 2003 pushes out the SMS 2003 Advanced Client (aka Mobile Client) to all Windows 2000/XP desktops. Management Points are REQUIRED for the SMS Advanced Client to be installed. No Management Point = No SMS Advanced Client.

This is in the Online Installation docs as well as the Operations Guide downloadable off the Beta site.

With regard to your second error, did you configure an Advanced Client Installation account after reinstalling? The AC can't install without having the site be configured with an AC installation account under the Client Installation section of Site Configuration.

This too is in the Online Installation docs as well as the Operations Guide downloadable off the Beta site.

I would strongly recommend you downloading the SMS2003 Reviewer's Guide which has a walkthrough of sorts in the back portion of the paper.
