I have a fresh, clean install of SMS 2003. Domains, boundries and subnets appear correct. Discovery has picked up the majority of machines on my network. I can push the client to any machines in my collections. The client installs fine. CCMSETUP.log shows the client files downloading and installing. But SMS still shows "No" in the "Client" column for each machine I have pushed the client to.
In CCMSETUP.log the most descriptive message I get is:
"Installation succeeded."
"Connecting to server SMS01"
"Successfully resolved server SMS01 to 10.1.1.1"
"Successfully connected to server SMS01"
"Server failed to process message and returned status code 501"
"Failed to report status message"
Other hopefully useful info:
All entries in the LocationServices.log are correct. The AD site of the machine is correct, the Managment Point is correct.
The SMS Agent Host service is started and running.
Can anyone give me some idea why my SMS server will not recognize installed clients? I've tested this with XP, W2K and W2K3 systems.
