Hi,

I've been working on a machine with lots of different garbage. I have it mostly functional, but the new version of Spybot has identified registry entries belonging to smithfraud-c. It finds them, but can't remove them in safe mode, or the scan it tries to run on reboot. Anyone hear of this one?

You may have an extra 'h' in the name - try googling for smitfraud

Well, Spybot was identifying it as smithfraud. I ended up rebooting in safe mode and removing all (about 20 of the registry entries that it had identified. The machine is now showing itself to be spyware/virus free. Just one little irratating display problem left.
