Fighting with SMGR 6.2 is not exactly my cup of tea. Presuming you did a plain old migration - take SMGR 6.2 backup, use the latest migration utility on 8, then I don't know what to tell ya.

If it's a lab and you can afford the time, do it in baby steps. You're not exactly keeping up with the Jones's if you're migrating from 6.2 to 8.0, so don't expect special attention.

I'd reckon they must have figured it out OK from SMGR 6.2-->6.3, so if you can get a 6.3.0 up, migrate to that, get up to the end of 6.3 and use that backup to move forward to 8.0.

Then lab it out or open a support case?

In your shoes, my quickest thinking would be making sure SMGR 6.2 was patched as far as it could be, and if it was, use the backup you took, take it to 6.3 in a lab, patch to the end of 6.3, and bring that to 8.0 in a lab, possibly with a CM depending on your errors and see if it can be reproduced.

If you can reproduce it, you know you need Avaya's help, and you've already got a sandbox they don't need to be afraid of breaking too bad.
If you can't reproduce it, you know it's something about 6.2-->8 so you could use that lab SMGR 8 backup and restore to production or argue with Avaya to fix your SMGR R8. Pick the path you think would have the least resistance!

There are numerous issues when migrating from System Manager versions which originally went in below 6.3. I would open a Service Request with Avaya. There is most likely an issue with the migrated data.
