Can you put a SMDR6 on a BCM 400? Or is there any reporting in the bcm itself

Don't believe it will work. The BCM gathers CDR records by default. They can be pushed to a FTP server once a day, or pulled whenever you want using the BCM CDR client.

Thank you for your help I didnt think you could but I just wanted to make sure

The SMDR6 box cannot be added to BCM. The data is stored on a folder on the BCM itself. You can configure the BCM to send the data to an FTP server (periodically). The better option is to use a CDR Pull mechanism. More robust commercial software is available from various websites including callaccountingsoftware.com, callaccounting.ws and avotus.com.

I forgot to mention, Nortel now offers Nortel Activity Reporter that does the full job of data collection, call accounting and management of CCR, VM and Hunt statistics.
