I have an SMDR6 off of a MICS for call reporting. It has worked fine before but lately it reboots by itself and then sometimes loses it programming such as the baud rate. Any ideas what would cause this? I saw a previous post by ymeq123 but the solution wasn't posted.

Power issue? Even so, it should retain programming.

Have you tried replacing the SMDR unit?

I just replaced the unit and will monitor it. I also plugged the existing unit in at another location to see if it continues to lose its programming.

I have had three diferent SMDR-6's default back. I just reset the password and was back in operation (all operator assist access) No clue what happened but I check to make sure passwords are stil valid each time I check out a site in person.

I think jerryreeve is talking about a Fast RAD, I've had 5 or 6 of them reset. But, an SMDR-6 only once.

Of course if I power it down myself it doesn't reset!

Ya you got that right, read the acronym wrong

The new one I installed on site is working fine and the old one is also working fine plugged in to my own equipment.

Just when you think you understand it all...
