SMDR6 Install & Programming 1

I want to add call account to my Norstar 0x32. I just bought a software package and an SMDR6 as specified. How is the SMDR6 connected to the system and what other programming is needed to make it transmit call detail records to the call accounting package?

It connects to an extension port. You can check for data by setting up hyperterminal on a pc and connecting it to the SMDR unit. The Hyperterminal specs are in the SMDR book as well as any other options that you may be interested in (such as what format you want your call records in).

You can hit [FEATURE] 9 * 2 on any phone with an LCD. It will allow you to program the baud rate, call types, account codes and other features of the SMDR.
