SMDR6 and CLID with UK MICS 4

We have UK MICS 4 (not sure which sub-release, system version is 30ArE01 NP03), with CI-enabled analog trunks. Two problems:

1. The CLID information is not captured for all calls, both at the terminal and by our SMDR. Testing with a cellphone shows that the same inbound line / number works about 50% of the time.

2. The SMDR prints 2 realtime *G (ringing) records for each call that it does recognise unless the CLID information is PRIVATE NUMBER. Then, it doesn't print a *G record at all, but does print a *A record (Answered) when the call is picked up.

I can't establish if the two problems are inter-related, but my initial reaction is that this points to bugs in the MICS version I have. I appreciate the UK versions of MICS are not the same as the North America versions, but has anyone come across similar issues?
