I did a search on the forum and only came up with a couple applications one was Callware which looks pretty good I am just trying to see what else is out there. I did a google search and there way too many it's hard to tell if it is any good or not. Does anyone have any suggestions to some good software that doesn't cost too much.

Here are the features we would like, did and dnis tracking, call durations, inbound caller id reports, and this is not manditory but would be nice is a realtime monitor of queues and agents. I also want it to have a user friendly interface so my not so computer savvy employees can operate it. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Try looking into Metropolis (metropolis.com)

hey how do i get the switch to output did's and dnis's to the cdr? I am trying a couple of different accounting programs but the reports are not showing did's or dnis's. I am thinking i need to turn it on somewhere anyone know where or what i need to do?

Why don't you hook up your PC serial port to the SMDR port and start up Hyperterminal (1200 baud, 8, n, 1, xon/xoff). Set hyperterminal to capture test to a file - and after a while (once you have some activity) look at the raw data that you are getting out of the SMDR port with NotePad. At least you will know what is being output - then you will better be able how well your software is summarizing the data.

okay so i figured out what is going on, I was reading the data and noticed that i was getting the queue ex. 773, 774, 775 I think this is because that is how I am routing calls. So if a call comes in on 2014 i delete 2014 and replace it with 774 so then the switch routes the call to the 774 queue. But now my problem is how can i tell what calls are coming from what did or dnis since they all end up reporting as 774 in the software. This is starting to get tricky and I dont see why is should be so hard. Any suggestions?

accually you know I think I am wrong about what I just wrote, here is and example of what I am getting from the switch.

it looks like the column that I thought was the queue is also showing up as the station, what is going on here shouldn't there be a column for the did/dnis?

For calling groups (autologin or autologout) turn on the SMDR TALK (Time) field (factory setting is off). It will provide some extra info - not sure about the rest of your question. If you are checking raw data out of the SMDR via Hyperterminal - make sure you have the capture text option on - and that the data is being captured to a file - otherwise you may be seeing a truncated report.

Try turning the UDP option on as well.

Okay I have the SMDR Talk Time was on and the UDP option is on as well. I figured out what is going on, when the DID comes in I take it and erase all the digits and replace it with 774 or 775 or whatever queue I want to send it to, it is how I am doing call routing. So I don't know how to get the DID digits if I am taking them out to do call routing. Here is an example of what I am getting in hyperterminal.

DATE TIME CALLED NUMBER DUR. LINE STN. ACCOUNT TALK

I use kiwi syslog and kiwi harvester to keep logs of calls. kiwi harvester converts the serial port data and sends it via syslog. Kiwi syslog records it down in logs broken up by date. No reporting here though, just logging. Not real user friendly but its a good free option for anyone who just needs logging but not report generation.

Okay I tried out that logger and I like it but now I still need to figure out my problem with reporting the did's that the call came in on. When I route the calls I strip the did and replace it with the queue number and that is what prints out in the logger. I need to route multiple did's to the same queue and I don't know another way to do it yet I need to find some way to report the amount of calls on each did. anyone offer me any help?
