It has been forever, I have forgotten what pins out of the rs232 on my sx-50 (only two if I remember correctly) go to what pins in on my pc serial db9. I am trying to dump data to file and save. Have done a thousand times "Back in the day" LOL sound like my kid.
Anyways I have 2 on switch to 3 on pc and 3 on switch to 2 on pc right now. but all characters are garbled.
Pry my memory for me please! THanx

You need Pin 7 (DB25) to Pin 5 (DB9) for signal Ground.

Pin 2(TX,DB25) to Pin 3(RX,DB9)

Pin 3(DB25) to Pin 2(DB9) is optional

Thank you so much for your quick response. I have tried the switch to 3 out 2 in. 7 out 5 in. Still garbly goop for some reason. I checked baud in 100 reg 16 along with all other settings seems to be right. VT100 also on..... Hmmmmmm
I am not seeing something.

If your getting goop you may have a mis-matched baud rate, I think the default off the controller is 2400.
