Is there a way to let the Double ring (Smart ring service) from the Telco come thru on the phone rather than the standard ring on a TDA30. We need to identify a fax call from a line call.

No, decode it in front of the box. Pana hates distinctive ring. So, you can get a fax that does it, buy a box, or use the VM or message card. DISA may also be there, I've never used it.

yes a Disa is your best and cheapest option, it will detect a fax signal, you just program in the Fax Extn.
