Smart PRI

Recently turned up pri with Telepacific I thought i was geting a traditional Pri but instead I got a Smart Pri
The explaination of a smart Pri is SIP converted to Digital via a cissco router

Running IP Office 500 v2 rls 8.0

From day one I have had one sided conversations,
I show no errors and nor do they
HELP !!!!!
 
You probably wouldn't see errors on the T1 pipe since it is only ten feet long (or however long your patch cord is). The trouble is almost certainly in their network, but you'd need T1/PRI test equipment to confirm.
 
Sounds like one side of the RTP stream is getting blocked upstream. I've not seen one sided calls on a PRI. Any chance the carrier can come out with a test set and confirm they have audio in both directions at the DMARC?
 
so the RPT stream would be on the sip side and would i be able to see this with Lanshark
 
Depends on how the circuit is being brought in. If it's a T1 from a smartjack to the Cisco you'll not be able to capture it. If it's ethernet say from fiber or cable connection maybe. I'd really push to have the carrier confirm with a test set on site that it's working.
