I have a current live server - Compaq ML370 G2 with a 36Gb Ultra3 drive. This is connected to a Adaptec 3960D Ultra160/m SCSI card. It has one logical drive defined.

I need to RAID-1 this config. To that end I have purchased the following: CPQ Smart Array 5i with another 36Gb drive.

When I plug the 5i into the server with existin Hard Disk, will I still be able to access all the data? Any ideas would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance

Unfortunately not.
When you connect the current drive with the new one and connect to the RAID it will wipe any existing info.

Case of backup, setup and restore I'm afraid.
