Dear All,
I am using the PUT Statement function to export a .txt with some details in a straight line. At the end of the line the system puts a small character like a small rectangle( ). It describes the end of the page. Does anyone knows how to delete this small rectangle.

Thanks
Marinos

Paged output is produced by:
Code:
OUTPUT TO c:\example.txt PAGED.
This automatically adds a FORMFEED printer control code at page breaks and when closing the output file. Just remove the PAGED option to eliminate the control character. Whether the 'small rectangle' is visible also depends on how you view the file. Notepad shows it, Wordpad and MSWord do not.

You say the FORMFEED control code is 'At the end of the line...' instead of on a line by itself. This tells me your PUT statement does not include a SKIP (linefeed) at the end. If your output file will have multiple lines, you should use the SKIP after the final output for each line.

Thanks MadMichael. It was very helpful.

Thanks
Marinos
