Guys

just a real quick question. When installing SBS 2003 server after the intial install and boot to Windows 2003 server. On the desktop it has CONTINUE SETUP option. If i dont continue can i just have thh 2003 Server and none of the extra SBS stuff?

Many Thanks

Simon

Yes, that option should then run the installs for Exchange / SQL etc. Otherwise youve now got an SBS'ed Win2k3 box as normal.

Yes, but that would be dangerous to system stability and performance. SBS was designed to be run a certain way... you start messing with that, you could have problems - delayed logins, problems with users, services, etc. Install it properly and USE THE WIZARDS and you'll be MUCH better off.

The answer is NO. If you don't continue you won't have Server 2003 and none of the extra SBS stuff... you'll have a broken SBS that will fail on you. You will also have violated the EULA.

I realize that the price point of SBS is most likely the reason you are asking this question to begin with? Or is there some other reason you are trying to use an SBS for something other than what it was designed for?
