I'm trying to install Small Business Server 2000 on a W2K Server, but the SBS assistant does not allow me to advance because he does not detect the configuration of the network card. The NIC is installed properly, although it isn't plugged to net. May be this one the problem?

Small Business Server problem

W2K pro as well as server has a feature which deactivates the NIC when it isn't connected to a networkcomponent (Switch, HUB, etc).
So the solution to your problem is to connect your NIC to a network. You can always change the IP to a different subnet.
