Slow when saving files

Hi all,

I have a problem.

Whenever I open any applications, be it using MS Word, or Excel or other applications, if I were to save any files, I click FILE --> SAVE AS --> SAVE IN, it would take some time before it loads all the MY COMPUTER contents and the hierachy.

I have mapped drives.

May I know what's wrong?

Any advice or solution so as to make the refresh faster?

Take any CD's out of the drive, and turn drive Indexing service on.

Still slow?

When I open MS Word document, after typing my work, i tried to save, it's still as slow as initially when I click the SAVE IN.

Is it because that I have the network mapped drives that are causing the problem?

Any solutions?
