Hi All!

I am trying to upload a .wav file to my VAL board (firmware 7) using standard FTP client, setting the transfer mode to binary. Everything works but when the upload starts it gradually slows down to a 8-16 byte/sec rate which I guess -I could not wait long enough to see - eventually dies at some point. The VAL data module is on link 2 and in-service. The Definity software is CM 1.3. The VAL ethernet port is set to fix 10full and connected to a 10/100 switch.
In "status val-ip 01c04" Incoming Received/Outgoing Transmitted Last Hour rows show nothing even when I am trying.

Any thoughts from the experts please?

Many thanks

If change the target directoy to / this has to be done when uploading new firmware to a VAL board. Hope this helps.

Sorry Monday and all, Just realised question wasn't about upgrading firmware at all. I'll shut up now!

Just tried it with VAL Manager and it is not any better. One thing I forgot to mention that this .wav file is 2Mb.

I have found the problem! The MTU size on the PC from where I was trying to upload the files had to be set to 256 or 512 bytes. Even then only the windows command line ftp client worked, other GUIs and the VAL Manager continued to let me down. Thanks Microsoft though I never really liked you much.

Any thoughts why is this?
