We just upgraded from a G3R running 9.5 to dual S8710 running CM 3.0, update 340.3, with IPSI HW 12, FW 22.
All users are now experiencing intermittent problems with slow transfers and dial tone.
Examples:
Normally when one of our attendants (using CallMaster 5 sets) transfers a call to a department, after pressing the transfer they will IMMEDIATELY hear a new dial tone & will be on their “B” call appearance. They now hit a busy indicator then release & the call is transferred correctly.
When the slow problem happens, the attendant will hit transfer, a busy indicator, then release, however she will still be connected to her “A” appearance. After waiting anywhere from 2-6 seconds, her set will “jump” and process all commands at once.
Also, all users report slow dial tone at times when picking up their handset.
Avaya Tier 3 thinks it might be a “zombie process” and wants to do a Reset System 4, however we are a 911 type call center and can’t be down for 5 – 10 minutes.
Has anyone else had these problems? What was the solution?
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
