I have several executive users that print documents localy with the automap "feature" of citrix. After we went from version 7 to version 8.1 we now get this slowdown whenever a user prints to thier local printer. When they print to an automapped printer that is using the spooler on the print server we have no issues. Here is the breakdown:
User logs into the server via citrix.
user opens any application
user prints document
citrix session locks up until document printed
after document prints no more issues (until printing again)
Note: this is only local printing. Printing though a spooler on the server does not cause this issue. Dropping back to version 7 is no longer an option as some of the software we run has been upgraded to only use the version 8.1 client (at least that is what I am told). I have tried the INI hacks for buffers to no avail. I have tried forcing the UPD and useing bandwidth throttleing, no effect. I have tried google and groups searches and tried every fix, hack and crudge I could find and nada. I am at my end and would appriciate any help you could offer.
