Slow message receipt

I have a user that is receiving his messages after a delay of 5 minutes to an hour. I have done some tests with his account, and there are no delays on it reaching his Inbox, only a delay on it reaching his Outlook client. The specs are W2K/Exchange 2k server and WXP/Office XP client. I haven't been able to find any settings to change that will correct this. Where do I need to look?

I am having a similar problem on one machine, I noticed that when I turned off xp's firewall the problem went away, still strange and haven't figured out problem, something to try though

Just checked on that and the ICF is turned off, but thanks for the suggestion. Do you have any other ideas?

any other firewall software on the PC or anything blocking UDP packets?
