Slow Mail

A user has told me that she waits ages to get e-mail, so l tested it. l e-mailed her and two other colleges, and sure enough she had to wait about 45 seconds before receiving the e-mail. But the other users e-mail was almost instant.

l was just wondering if this is an indication of a problem to come, or exchange being difficult.

l have check all the users settings to make sure that they have not altered, also made sure l checked the trust level and it is the same for all users.

This is stored on PST or on Exchange?

On the "other users" machine, set up this problematic user's account and you will see if it's the client machine or if "exchange is being difficult".

From experience, most times, it's the client machine.

Is she using XP SP2? If so you need to exempt her mail client from the Windows firewall.
