Slow in accessing network folders

Hi to all,

I have this problem....

The XP system on my laptop seems to take a very long time to access the network folders and make any changes to a file(saving or etc).

the XP on the desktop was ok...... What could be the problem...

it is drving me crazy.

Pls help!!

Have you installed Service Pack 1 ?

It has a LOT of bug fixes related to networking issues and performance under various circumstances.

I have the same problem.I found one of possible reasons of this. If you are running a antivirus software on your PC, try to disable it.And look here
