I am trying to ftp files from a SCO 5 box, and it is takeing 5 minutes to transfer a 8 meg file. I am running the card at 100 full and the network is setup for it. Does anyone have any ideas or thoughts?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

And which kind of things are between the two boxes ?
5 min for 8 meg is like a 56K modem connection.

its on a cat 6 network, the backbone is a cisco server farm with gigabit connectivity, noone else is haveing this problem just this one machine.

I have this problem once, and the trouble were in the UTP wire...

Want to thank everyone who has helped after talking to the vendor of the software that loaded the box, apparently this is a problem with SCO ver 5.x and they know about it. there solution is to use a different/newer version of ftp. We have also found out thru testing that setting the ports to 10/half fixs the speed issue, gets lots of colissions now but the speed is there..
Thanks to everyone again for there help
