1) Do the computers have all the same specs... ie.
Are they all using the same version of XL?
Are they all using the same O/S?
... all the same processor?
... have the same Ram?
etc...etc...etc???
2) Does the file reference anything externally, such as another XL file on a network or on your computer?

Computers are all the same, with the same hardware and software (win 2000, excel 2000 release sr-1). There is a link to a file which is present in the same folder of all computers (c:\namedir)
Same specs. External file, but stored in same folder on all computers.
Interesting. Depending on how determined you are to figure this out, you could to some testing to norrow it down a bit...
- Save the XL file as a dummy file.
- Take out all the macros so it's just an XL spreadsheet.
- Test out how the this file now behaves on all computers.
If it is still slow on the others, the problem may be in how their computers are handling the computations within the spread sheet. If the file opens fine, the bottleneck may well be prat of your macros, OR again, how their computers are handling the macros.
More Questions...
1) When the file opens, does it automatically use the external file for data transfer? I mean, could the external file be part of the slowdown or is the external file used later on?
2) This information is generally stored is each file (I think) but check the other users settings. Specifically the "Manual" or "Automatic" calculations. (I know, that's not really a question).

Well, if you mean hidden sheets, perhaps. Not being the person who created the spreadsheet, I have no idea what is in it, really. That's something you'll need to look for. Did you creat it or are you taking the file over from someone else? But, if there are hiddine sheets, say for example, I doubt that the sheets themselves would be causing the problem. You say "references" do you mean that you are using external references to another .xls file? I'm guessing by now that that is what the othre file is. I assumed that the external file was being used by your VBA code.
