Can you help please? I have just installed windows 2000 and am trying to download java for it, but the downloads are pathetically slow. Any ideas? Thank you

thanks for replying, i was using 98 previously and have upgraded to 2000, it was much faster using 98. I am using a dial up connection at 40kbps. I thought it may have been that the java site that i was downloading from was busy, but now live update from Norton has stuck and that is usually quite quick. The problem seems to be that my pc only asks for data once every 10 seconds or so. Thanks again
