slow deletion of temp internet files

hi,

was doing a disk clean up like i regularly do but when it gets to deleting the temporary internet files it seems to freeze. so i tried doing it through the tools option in IE but it freezes again. then i tried doing it manually- deleting the files in the folder myself, but surprise surprise, it freezes

can anyone shed any light on this??

when i typed attrib -s -h recycled
then that msg came up.... and i don't have norton...
what is that above line supposed to do?

It removes the System (s) and Hidden (h) attribute from the folder so that you can see and delete it.

Start, Run, attrib -s -h c:\recycled
Start, Run, rd /s /q c:\recycled

i did Start, Run, attrib -s -h c:\recycled but still not working

tried the next one but it cannot find rd....

Likely one of the four forms to remove the directory above did so.

Reboot.
