We just migrated our Legato Server 6.03 from Solaris to Aix 4.3. We are running with an ATL P3000 with 10 DLT7000's. All server settings are the same on AIX as they were on Solaris. The backups run the same or faster but cloning is taking 3 hours longer. On the Solaris server we saw speeds up to about 8mb's per second. On AIX, it is steady at 4133KB and 4321KB. Both server's blocking factor is set to 0. The AIX Server is a much beefier box and is running at 97 percent idle during the cloning process.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

What edition were you using on Solaris and what edition are you using on AIX?
Power Edition is supposed to work faster on cloining, so if you went from Power Edition to Network Edition, this could explain it.

Both Servers have 6.0.3 Build 358 Power/85. For testing purposes I also tried 6.1.2 on the new server with the same results.
