We have 1 citrix server in a win2k mixed mode domain. We will call that domain A. We also have 3 other trusted domain's (All WINT2k Native mode) that also use the citrix server. We will call them B,C, and D.

If I log on to citrix from domain A with a domain A user logon is extremely fast!!! But if I logon with a user from domain A with a User from domain B,C, or D the logon takes forever!! This also works in reverse If I logon to the citrix server from domain B with a user from domain A it is very fast but if a use a user from domain B,C or D its very slow.

We thought we may have a problem with the server but we replaced it old server with a new box last weekend and still have the same problem.

It is a WIN2K SP4 with metaframe XP 1.0 sp4 FR1
We have installed the micosoft hotfix 132208 but that didn't seem to fix anything.

Please help

Are the users you are working with configured to have roamng profiles?

Is it an issue with a profile server?

I am guessing the users from the other domains run their own logon scripts. Is it name resolution whilst the logon script is running?

Yes that is true,, however we did make a user in one of the problem domain's and the user does not have a logon script or a home drive. This did speed it up somewhat but the inital Loading personal settings still takes like 2 minutes to go away before the app can fire!

We also have Wins servers at all locations and they replicate there databases with us.

But I can try to add the servernames and ip's in the hosts file on the citrix server

I added the entries for the DC's and BDC's in the host file on the citrix server and that didn't help?

Any other ideas

Rather than putting all those hosts files etc in just point your Citrix servers at the DCs running the AD Integrated DNS (if they aren't already) and on those DNS servers set forwarders to the DNS servers in the trusted domains.
