Slow backup?!

We have a GroupWise 5.5 server with NetWare 5.1 sp3. Then we backup volumes with ArcServe 7 it is very slow. Only 70kb/minute??!!
Are there anyone who know what to do?
We use TCP/IP and IPX on the servers. Backup with IPX.

Set all your ethernet connections to half duplex (cards, switches, etc.) then try again. That fixed it for me.
