Hi everyone,

After upgrading my workstation to Windows 2000 Professional and now access to an NT SP6a box is slow as hell. I've applied SP1 with no result. I am connecting to a Novell 411 box with satisfactory results.

Don't have the AD installed yet.

Help would be appreciated.

Thanks

One thing I have noticed about Windows 2000 is that when you are attaching to a non-authenticated resource that it takes forever to get anything off it. Once I mapped an actual drive letter to the resource, it went away and traffic speed went back to what I has expected. Seems Win2k has to send a lot of authentication packets when attaching to a resource in that matter. Don't know if it applies here but just an FYI.
