How can I sync timing on an S8300 if I've got slips on my DS1? I'm not seeing an option to do so. Thanks.

Hi,

For synchronise your Ds1 you need to enterin G700 CLI Mode note on LSP but i never could this because Avaya support told me that i don't have rights to enter in this...

Regards
Michael

connect to the G700 and access the G700. Try root / root.

Session mgp
configure
set sync interface primary 001v4 (or wherever your DS1 card is located)
set sync source primary

I'll confirm those commands (doing from memory) if they don't work.

sjforcum,

It's actually set sync interface VX (x is where the slot is)

like I said I was doing it from memory.... space ? is your best friend :)

Thank you all very much, however I can't get in with root/root. Anyother suggestions for the login and password?

Sounds like your business partner locked this down.

Demand access. You have a right to be able to re-address your equipment, change synch sources, upgrade firmware, etc...all of which requires access to the CLI

I'll do that. Thanks so much for your help!

Wanted to let you all know that I was able to access the MGP - I initially had the wrong IP address. Thanks so much for your help and guidance on this.
