SLICE 2 IMAGES EXACTLY SAME

I'm using Photoshop 7. I know how to use the slice tool in a basic manner.

I want to slice 2 images that are just alike except one is red the other green. The green will be for the on mouse over or rollover effect.

How do I insure that these 2 images are sliced in exactly the same places?

Place image 1 in a layer in a new document
Place image 2 in a layer in that same document

Save as .psd file
Use your slice tool to slice the image up.

Then save each image as its own psd file.
