Slammer question, Does NS detect it? 1

Hi

Just a quick question. Will a fully updated version of Netshield 4.5 SP1 detect the slammer or do I have to use the Stinger tool?

Hi

No. Slammer only exists in memory. Use the Stinger tool to detect it.
If you have it isolate the machine and patch it.

This only affects machines that are running SQL 2000 and MSDE 2000 without SP3.
