Hi,

I have a NEC SL2100 configured with 5 SIP trunks (New Install), everything is working well, apart from the outbound calls receive a busy tone after a couple of seconds.

So the user, dials the external number, there is then a pause for a few seconds and a busy tone comes back.

Is there a setting that I missed on the outgoing side? SIP provider says it's not even attempting a connection.

Check the credentials in 10-28, 10-29, 10-23 if necessary. Make sure there are no spaces and caps is/is not needed in 10-36.

The sip provider that I have uses IP registration so none of these settings should be required?

Is there anything else that may be missing?

Verify:
SIP Trunk Registration Mode – via IP address

10-28-05, must be set to IP address
10-29-01, enable for proxy server by ITSP
10-29-03, assign IP address of SIP proxy server provided by ITSP – same address used for registration
10/29/04, assign proxy port ie:5060
10-29-05, must be set to enable – ability to register to the ITSP
10/29/06, assign IP address of SIP registration server provided by ITSP
10/29/07, assign SIP registration port – ie:5060
10-29-14, carrier type
10-29-21, used for NAT translations
10-36-01, enable for registration
10-36-02, user ID in SIP invite set up message – outbound CID

This worked many thanks for your help.
