Has anyone set up an SL2100 with voip.ms? If so, are there any tips and tricks you can provide?

I will be replacing a DSX 80 that works with a Mediatrix 4108 gateway. The DIDs are with voip.ms. The gateway is configured for two instances of each of 4 DIDs and all phones have 8 line keys assigned (2 per DID). I'd like to duplicate that.

voip.ms can route several DIDs through a trunk. For the SL2100 is it necessary to have a separate trunk license for each DID or can several DIDs be routed through a single trunk? Can the SL2100 accept multiple channels for a DID through a single trunk or is it limited to one channel per trunk? If the SL2100 can handle multiple DIDs per trunk and/or multiple channels per DID how are those set up? I'm not sure whether this will require 1, 4 or 8 trunk licenses.

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

I have it working with 3 DIDS and 4 SIP Trunk license. I don't associate a DID with a line key. 95% of the calls are customers calling the main number. I have 4 line keys with 'dialtone' on every phone. Thus far it has worked pretty good.

If I were you I would get 8 SIP Trunk licenses. That will allow for 8 calls.

If you want 2 appearances of a specific DID and no further calls to that number, that will be interesting. I'm not sure how to do that. Basically what I understand is that you want 8 dialtones available on every phone.

You may want to look at voip.ms to restrict simultaneous calls to each DID. their support can help maybe.
