Hi guys. I am having a problem where a call goes to Auto-attendant then if unanswered goes to ext 200 but after that it won't transfer to ext 201. I have tried 1-digit dial, and DID to 200 and both transferred to 201. Please I really need this badly.

If your time out is set to unscreened transfer to 200, then 200 needs to be set to call forward no answer to 201 to get it there.

Hi belevedere,

What does "time out is set to unscreened transfer to 200" mean? On what program number can I find this?

MB 47-13, time out is when a caller does not dial any digits. This is what the system will do under that circumstance.

Oh I see. So should I change unscreened transfer on timeout to 201?

No, you have 0 doing a blind transfer to 200, and time out doing an blind transfer to 201.

Hi CoralTech,

Here is the call flow that I want to happen. Ouside Call>Auto Attendant>(if unanswered)>ext 200>(if unanswered)>ext 201

Hi belevedere,

Okay I now get what you are pointing at. Set the Timeout-Unscreened Transfer-200, and go to Fixed call Forwarding; Set ext 200 to call forward no answer going to 201. Is that right? I think I already tested that out but somehow the Fixed Call Forwarding is not working how it supposed to be. Here is my config btw.

That should be the procedure. Check MB 24-09 on x200 for busy/no ans, set items 2/3/4/5 to 201.

Another thing. Is it possible to route Auto attendant to the Department group?
Call flow would be like this "Inbound call>Auto Attendant>(if no press)>Department Group Pilot 400

Do an unscreened transfer to the pilot number of the department group. Department group numbers can be found in MB 11-07. NOTE, calls will not follow voice mail setting while in a department group.

Thank you belvedere for this information. I will try this out and hopefully fix my problem. Have a great day!

Hi belvedere,

I am back again. The config didn't work as it was supposed to, though I learned some things. Fixed Call Forward won't work if the Incoming call trunk setup is set to VRS and the call forwarded extensions are in the incoming ring group. The unscreened transfer didn't work for me too. I am still stuck in "Incoming Call>AA>(not answered)>200", as 200 is not transferring to 201 if unanswered. I hope you still have more suggestions to share. Thanks.

Well, if the only problem is answering a ringing call on another extension why not just use a call coverage key for 200 and make it delay?

Hi belevedere,

Haven't tried calling ext 200 internally because there are only 2 extensions, ext 200 and ext 201. That's why my focus is completely on incoming calls coming from outside.

Hi CoralTech,

Not literally answering but transferring the call if it is unanswered. Though call coverage is new for me, kindly explain what does it do and how can I program it? BTW my config is on the past messages above. You can check on it and might see things that are unusual. I am open for all suggestions as long as I can make this call flow work.

Thanks!

Plug a 3rd phone in for testing. You need to know if the call forwarding on 200 works before expanding the test to outside calls. Or, plug a butt set into a SLT port. Your problem needs to be broken down into separate steps to isolate it.
EX: MB 24-09
01-CF type busy/no ans
02-VM pilot #
03-same
04-same
05-same
06/07 for centrex or behind PBX, normally not used.

If you guys are getting confused, here are the call flow details that I want to do.

Incoming outside call>Auto Attendant>press 0>ext 200>(if unanswered>ext 201 <- Already finished this
Incoming outside call>Auto Attendant>dial 200>ext 200>(if unanswered>ext 201 <- Already finished this
Incoming outside call>Auto Attendant>dial 201>ext 201 <- Already finished this
Incoming outside call>Auto Attendant>no press>ext 200>(if unanswered>ext 201 <- Call get stucked in ext 200 and not routing to ext 201

Thanks!

Hi belevedere,

Okay I will try this out, though I am confident that call fixed forwarding is working but not in VRS trunk setup.
